Happy Sunday! I hope y’all have had a wonderful weekend! Yesterday, we spent time with family and got to meet our new niece! Today, I spent most of the morning doing laundry and getting our closets organized. I also took my typical Sunday trip to Target, and got a few items to spruce up my floating shelves in my kitchen for fall. I am really surprised at all of the fun decor I got, and I am excited to share it all with y’all! I don’t typically decorate for Halloween because I hate to spend money on decor that will only be up a short amount of time. I feel like decorating for fall will allow me to keep that decor up through Thanksgiving and I get more use out of what I purchased. This year, I went for a really neutral fall look in my kitchen with some orange, yellow, and brown tones that almost mimic my front porch color palette. I found pieces with antique brass accents that match our fixtures and cabinet hardware in our kitchen. I am really happy with how well it all turned out. It is farmhouse meets fall harvest which is just the look I was going for! To shop the items in the picture, click any of the products at the bottom of the post.
I know a lot of y’all are new here, so I wanted to give a quick recap of our kitchen renovation. Before our kitchen renovation, we had a galley style kitchen. Our counter tops were a black granite and kitchen cabinets were almost 30 years old. All our the appliances were out-of date and the backsplash was travertine. We lived in the house almost a year, and then we decided to gut the kitchen and push into what was our master bedroom to create a U-shaped kitchen with an island. We put in all new cabinets, quartz counter tops, refinished the hardwood floors, and made floating shelves to name a few updates that were done. Overall, it was a full blown renovation.
